The Travelling Donkeysland
The Travelling Donkeysland was created to offer the joy of acquaintance and contact with the donkey to those whose transportation to our facilities is difficult.
We transport two of our trained donkeys to you, by trailer. We set up a mobile fenced enclosure so that the donkeys can circulate freely and safely.
The children get to know our donkeys up close. They learn the history of each and its characteristics and idiosyncrasies, whilst discovering just how sociable, gentle and playful these donkeys are.
Through the use of photographs, pieces of equipment and through interaction, the children learn the origins of the donkey, its physiology and its history existing beside humans.
Finally, and depending on the age of the children, we tell myths, stories, sing songs about donkeys, or conduct quizzes and play games based on what the children have just learnt.
